Ante la actual normativa europea de precursores explosivos y la limitación de usar máximo el 16% en peso de nitrometano en las mezclas suministradas a clientes finales sin licencia, el equipo técnico y pilotos de Nitrolux, llevan varios meses testando nuevos componentes. Como resultado se han desarrollado aceites sintéticos propios y fórmulas para sacar el máximo rendimiento de esta mezcla, conseguir una mayor lubricación con el objetivo de dar más potencia a los motores y así minimizar la falta de nitrometano en la mezcla.
Este combustible ya ha sido utilizado en algunas competiciones por alguno de los pilotos del equipo como en el campeonato de Europa en Barcelos, Portugal demostrando un gran rendimiento en circuitos y condiciones muy exigentes.
